This site was developed by Ortho Biotech, a division of Janssen-Ortho Inc. operating in Canada, and a member of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies. Janssen-Ortho Inc. is also a member of Rx&D, Canada’s research-based pharmaceutical companies industry association. Ortho Biotech developed this site to give cancer patients, caregivers and support teams access to accurate and objective information on fatigue and anemia due to chemotherapy, a cancer treatment side effect.
The purpose of this site is to educate cancer patients to: Understand that most cancer patients will experience fatigue. Recognize the signs of fatigue. Understand the causes of fatigue. Understand the impact and how debilitating it can be, physically and mentally, and how these can be improved with appropriate tools and strategies. Educate cancer patients on treatment options including diet, medications and transfusion. Support patients in becoming their own advocates and to take action.
